Big news at Pathwork…

Today, Blake and I are thrilled to announce our $3.5M seed investment round led by Costanoa Ventures and joined by Logos Fund, American Family Ventures, Meridian Ventures, and a number of prominent insurtech and vertical SaaS angel investors.

We added this capital for one reason: it will allow us to build more and do it faster. And there’s no doubt now is the time to bring more to market. How do we know? Because our customers tell us all the damn time!

Everything our team does is for our customers– those we’re lucky to count as partners today and those we’ll join with in the near future. We don’t take customer trust lightly. A motto that often gets repeated at Pathwork, “we need to earn and re-earn our customers’ business every single day.” 

Since launching last year, we’ve focused our efforts on reimagining the most important part of the insurance value chain: distribution. Distribution represents more than $160B in spend in the U.S. alone, nearly $1T worldwide. Digitization efforts of the last 20 years have laid the foundation for agentic systems to come into existence, thrive, and deliver game-changing ROI. 

These agentic tools do feel like magic. We have an entire slack channel (#customer-love) filled with direct quotes from customers seeing & using our tools for the first time. Our favorites include, “I’ve seen the future” and “I dreamt of something that could do this”.

Our Impact to Date

It is still Day One for redesigning the insurance industry for the AI era. We’re enthusiastic about our progress so far, though the best chapters are still to come. 

We measure ourselves by the outcomes we create. This year alone, we’ve generated an estimated 1,400 days of productivity savings (nearly 4 years!) and early studies with customers show profitability increases of 8-12%. What this means is that our tools allow people to allocate more time to what they enjoy doing: building relationships and solving problems for clients. And, for each customer, these profitability gains translate to hundreds of thousands of dollars reinvested into people, teams, and client service, all creating better coverage for Americans who need it.

Today, we are proud to count more than 65 brokerages as trusted partners, including some of the nation’s largest platforms such as Highland Capital Brokerage, NFP, Hilb, Keystone Agency Partners, Aimcor, LIBRA, and CPS. 

Our next stage will focus on working with carriers, helping to build a connective tissue powering end-to-end workflows. To sow a few seeds of intrigue, we’ll have exciting news to share in Q4 regarding results and long-term partnerships with key carriers in the Life & Health space. Stay tuned!
